based in Monmouthshire, has kicked off the year with remarkable activity, dispatching six refurbished Thermal CtP printers to various locations in the UK, Albania, and Sicily. Responding to recent developments in the industry, including Fuji's discontinuation of their Violet Pro-V plate for commercial printers and Kodak's decision to cease support for the Magnus Thermal CtP, there's been a surge in demand for affordable upgrade options among existing Violet CtP and Kodak Magnus users. Since January, IGS has successfully shipped six refurbished CtP printers, catering to diverse needs: A Heidelberg Suprasetter A75 ATL was delivered to The Langham Press in Cambridge, replacing their Kodak Magnus system. Screen PT-R-4300-S units were deployed to replace ECRM Violet CtP printers at Litchfield Printers and Dace Printers in Rotherham. In Europe, Media Print in Albania and Russo Stampa in Sicily upgraded from Kodak Magnus CtP printers to Agfa Acento II S CtP systems.

Peter Flynn, Managing Director of IGS, shared insights on the recent installation of the Screen 4000 MkII at Prestige Printers Telford, saying, “It was truly gratifying to hear Hitesh, the owner at Prestige, express his satisfaction with their HighWater Platinum 2230 Violet CtP, which has been in service for twenty-four years and still delivers exceptional quality plates. Having been a strong advocate of Violet technology during my tenure as Sales Director at HighWater Designs, I empathise with Violet CtP users who find themselves without compatible plates. What we offer these customers is a viable upgrade path to an affordable refurbished Thermal CtP. Transitioning from Violet to Thermal CtP not only enables daylight operation but also facilitates the use of direct-to-press plates. Additionally, we maintain a substantial inventory of spare parts to ensure the longevity of their investment.”

At present, IGS boasts a comprehensive inventory of 4 and 8 up Thermal CtP printers from reputable brands such as Agfa, Heidelberg, and Screen. Each refurbished machine is accompanied by installation, training, and a parts and labor warranty, underscoring IGS’s commitment to customer satisfaction and support.
