International Graphics Supplies Ltd (IGS)

a leading CtP supplier based in Monmouthshire, experienced a particularly busy month in May, shipping four forty-foot containers of equipment to China, Lebanon, Nigeria, and the USA. Additionally, IGS completed three installations within the UK.
IGS shipped a Kodak Magnus 800 Multi Cassette and Lotem 800 to their distributor in China, a Screen 8800 Multi Cassette to GM Habis in Lebanon, three Screen 4300 S units to their distributor in Africa, and two Kodak 400 Magnus Multi Cassette units along with a Screen 4300 S SAL to their distributor in the USA. The domestic market also saw significant activity with the installation of a Heidelberg Suprasetter A75 ATL at Mail Solutions in Telford, an Agfa N4 Acento MkII at Scotia Press Limited in Leicester, and a Screen 4300 at Barkers in Rochester.

Peter Flynn, Managing Director of IGS, commented on the Screen 4300 MkII installation at Barkers: “As the former Sales Director of HighWater Designs, it was with great pride that I listened to Jon, the owner of Barkers, tell me about his HighWater Platinum 2230 Violet CtP, which is still producing high-quality plates after twenty-five years. However, he felt it was time to upgrade to a thermal no-process plate system.”

He continued, “We offer customers an upgrade path to affordable refurbished Thermal CtP systems. Transitioning from Violet to Thermal CtP allows users to benefit from daylight operation and the capability to use direct-to-press plates. Early adopters of Thermal CtP, such as those using Creo Trendsetters or Basysprint UV CtP, are now seeking faster and fully automated CtP systems. We maintain a large stock of spare parts to ensure the longevity of their investment in our refurbished machines.”

IGS currently stocks a wide range of 4-up and 8-up Thermal CtP systems from Agfa, Heidelberg, and Screen. Each refurbished machine comes with installation, training, and a parts and labour warranty, ensuring comprehensive support for customers.
